For Parents

What You Need To Know

Whether your child is at SharpTop Cove right now or will be soon, we want you to rest easy while they are away. There are many activities available for your child to participate in while at camp. Whether they are on the Ropes Course, in the Pool, or in the Game Room, their safety is our top priority. If you have any questions about our facilities and staff, please do not hesitate to call.

 What To Bring

  • Toiletries: Bring basic toiletries. The Gettin' Place has most items for purchase in case your child forgets.
  • Calling Card: To minimize distractions, Young Life areas collect campers’ cell phones while they are at camp for the week. There are pay phones located at camp. Calling cards are also available for purchase at the Gettin' Place. In the case of emergency, we will always work hard to get you in touch with your child.
  • Clothing: Pack a rain jacket for summer showers! Closed-toed shoes and pants are required for some activities. Don’t forget to pack a bathing suit as well!
  • Medications: Our Medical Staff will be happy to assist your child in taking their needed medications. Please contact your child’s trip leader about your child’s medication needs and make sure to list any medications on your child’s health form.
  • Special Dietary Needs: Our Food Service Team wants to work with you to meet your child’s dietary needs. Please contact your child’s trip leader and make sure to include any allergies or dietary needs on your child’s health form.
  • Money: The Gettin' Place and Earle's Feed Store will be open during free time while your child is at camp. Additional spending money will be needed for purchases.
  • Camera: SharpTop Cove provides incredible scenery for the memories your child will have from this week!
